Mission and functions
MISSION
To monitor the operation of plant equipment under both normal and emergency conditions, following established rules and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements, as well as the technical optimization of production.
ROLES
- To perform and control the operations required for the start-up, shutdown, and operation of the plant and auxiliary systems, ensuring safety and optimal technical and environmental conditions, without supervision. To control and carry out, in accordance with instructions and procedures, the loading and unloading of vessels and tanker trucks.
- To monitor the operation of plant equipment by observing control panels and other information systems; to conduct inspections, operational tests, repairs, and adjustments to equipment in order to ensure proper operating conditions.
- To perform assigned routine basic maintenance tasks; to report anomalies in equipment and facilities and implement the necessary corrective measures in accordance with the Shift Supervisor’s instructions. To carry out housekeeping and cleaning tasks within the facilities.
- To detect faults and problems and analyze failures by determining their root cause; to identify and report potential faults and risks that may affect safety and health.
- To properly manage waste in accordance with established procedures.
- To place equipment in a safe condition in accordance with established procedures.
- To process work permits and perform predictive maintenance routes according to procedures and instructions.
- To carry out actions and tasks assigned in Emergency Plans and Self-Protection Plans; to participate in specific training courses required for the role at any given time.
- To perform any other functions necessary for the optimal performance of the organization within their area of responsibility.
